Njeeet! "en" or "de" are valid (ISO) and common (Hyper-G use it)
aliases for locale.

$ egrep '^(en|de)[^_a-zA-Z]' /usr/X11/lib/X11/locale/locale.alias
de              de_DE.ISO8859-1
en              en_US.ISO8859-1
