https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=289875 Graham Perrin <grahamperrin@gmail.com> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Summary|dvd1 shell (FreeBSD |FreeBSD Install live |Install): can't install |system: simplify use of |packages from the offline |offline repos |repo | --- Comment #9 from Graham Perrin <grahamperrin@gmail.com> --- Bug 266743 comment 7 in a nutshell: * success with addition of a freebsd-installer repo to /etc/pkg/FreeBSD.conf (consistent with comment 6 above) * failure with env(1) (the screenshot captures only two failed experiments; various other experiments also failed). I guess, this bug 289875 should: * at least, fix the non-existence of /dist/packages/repos before 15.0-RELEASE * ideally, simplify FreeBSD Installer for the live system to be immediately usable with the -dvd1.iso offline non-base repo (xorg et cetera), plus maybe the offline _base_ repo. For example: an operator might be surprised by the absence of csh/tcsh (or easy editor or whatever) after completing a minimal installation. If the relevant bases packages are offline: make it easy to use these packages. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.help
