I've had problems with vge before, but when I updated to the latest current yesterday, it became nightmarish. It stops sending/receiving every few (~5) minutes for a minute or two. You can kick it alive with something like "ifconfig vge0 debug" and only then it prints: vge0: soft reset timed out vge0: link state changed to DOWN vge0: link state changed to UP With current from November 24 there was no such problem.
