Sorry to reply twice, but as I hit send, I realized my first answer doesn't address the issue. If you can connect as guest, obviously samba and XP are talking. Have you set up your SMB users files, or are you doing domain authentications? -----Original Message----- From: Cliff Sarginson [mailto:cliff@raggedclown.net] Sent: Monday, January 28, 2002 11:25 AM To: FreeBSD List Subject: Windows XP/Samba Hello, Has anyone managed to successfully get a Windows XP client talking to Samba. Despite RTFM's and long experiements I can only get a guest (nobody) login to work. Maybe I am missing something. I think protocol NT1 is the right one to use ? --=20 Regards Cliff To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
