:just did a risk/reward assessment and it honestly came up in favor of

:result of these changes, they'll go straight out again. We don't,
:however, expect any.

Hey, I don't suppose we could compile kernels with -O2 or -Os again
after this upgrade? Pretty please with sugar on top? (ok ok, I know
you can't bribe a piece of source code, I'm not *that* far gone!)
