  Hello,

First of all, these mailinglist are new to me. But I presume this postings are being moderated so I'll just give it a try.

How about the support for the VIA vt8237 SATA controller? I read in HARDWARE.TXT of 4.9-STABLE that the chip is supposed to be supported. However the lastest available 4.9-STABLE from current.freebsd.org doesn't support it.
After reading the 4.9-STABLE-20040328-JPSNAP.log I learned this one hasn't been build due to insufficient harddrive space on the server.

It doesn't seem like a big issue to me, for the support to be ported (from OpenBSD perhaps?) to FreeBSD.
I would really love to see it working on 4.x.

So if someone would please port it, or supply me with the nessecary information to get this working, I'd really appreciate it.

  Stefan
