Hi, I noticed when upgrading to KDE 4.2.2, the network monitor no longer showed outgoing bandwidth. I blamed this on the app first, but after installing net/bmon the problem is there as well. It uses int mib[] = {CTL_NET, PF_ROUTE, 0, 0, NET_RT_IFLIST, 0}; to read if_msghdr structs and ifm->ifm_data.ifi_obytes. netstat has the same problem: input (em0) output packets errs bytes packets errs bytes colls 199 0 63203 117 0 0 0 193 0 59995 97 0 0 0 185 0 63023 105 0 0 0 200 0 60642 104 0 0 0 199 0 63102 100 0 0 0 215 0 62733 94 0 2891 0 That 2891 is a mystery, all the while I was copying a file remotely at ~150KB/s. Kernel and world were build/upgraded in sync, make delete-old and delete-old-libs done so I should be in compliance with those entries anyway (20090415 and 14 entries). -- Mel
