my machine: Dell Latitude CPi R400GT 128M RAM 6G hd 3.4R+PAO I was using my laptop in its normal capacity as a portable vt100 when it started chomping on the disk wildly. everything just stopped. I rebooted, and when it came up it started giving me error messages and stopped with: wd0: Last time I say: interrupt timeout. Probably a portable PC. (status 50<rdy,seekdone> error 1<no_dam>) wd0: wdtimeout() DMA status 4 so, has anyone else experienced this? (I would suspect so, since the error message indicates a psychic ability to know that it's on a laptop) is there anything besides re-installing that I can do to recover from this? am I totally %$#@ed? tia, Sam -- Sam Thomas Geek Mercenary To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-mobile" in the body of the message
