Hi folks, I have here an SVEC PCI combo ethernet card that I want to use the AUI port on, rather than the 10baseT/2 (long story :-). 10baseT and 2 works fine under the lnc driver on 2.2.6-release, but the lnc doesn't seem to support the ifconfig media options, nor the link[1-2]. I've tried setting the card manually to the AUI port using the supplied software, and the setting seems to have stayed in the EEPROM - but it just doesn't look like it's being used. Card reports itself as a NE2100 (C-LANCE) and the error being reported is "Device timeout -- Resetting". Has anyone got any suggestions on how to deal with this particular beast? (Suggestions that I should get a "real" network to /dev/null :-) AnnMarie -- AnnMarie Scott | http://www.frisbee.net.au/~annmarie/ Unix Systems Manager | mailto:annmarie@afct.org.au BASS South Australia | http://www.bass.sa.com.au/ Adelaide Festival Centre | GPO Box 1269, Adelaide SA 5001, Australia To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-hardware" in the body of the message
