I can't confirm that. I have a multi-core CPU and I can install java/diablo-jdk and java/jdk15 without problems. Show your /etc/make.conf and "pkg_info -Ex ." please. Do you actually have a libjava.so somewhere in /usr/local? Please list your steps in detail. Björn
