You could try suggesting a "set reconnect 5 100" (check the man page
for what this means). However, if this is happening frequently, I'd
look for a dodgy modem setting that isn't very tolerant of temporary
CD glitches. On a USR Sportster for example, you may want to
ATS10=10 so that carrier must be lost for a whole second before the
modem notices.
Remember, never use "set reconnect" with a timeout value that's less
than your ISP.....
