>Environment:
FreeBSD 4.6.2, release 0; generic i386 compile
>Description:
As a previous "auto" install on a 1 GB partition, to include source code, caused a disk full condition on the /usr sub-partition, I tried to delete and merge the /usr, /var, and /tmp sub-partitions in another, fresh install. But this only cause an out-of-space condition to occur earlier in the install!
>How-To-Repeat:
(given above)
>Fix:
Don't install source or use bigger partition.
