We've been talking about this, to see if it's possible to reduce the amount of duplication between Chapter 2 and the installation document in RELNOTESng, or if we can't do that, at least to make them more consistent with each other. (I've been avoiding looking at INSTALL.* for a few weeks because I don't want to deal with it, but with a release looming I'd better get my act together.)
