The goal is that they run on any POSIX system so that they can be used to bootstrap FreeBSD from non-FreeBSD systems. (FYI, we're already using them in Debian for cross-platform operability. See http://packages.debian.org/freebsd-buildutils) This patch protects the __unused and __FBSDID macros in each of the relevant source files. Due to the existing __FBSDID lines being subject to continous updates, this changes have great chances to get outdated, so I'm sending them first.
