FreeBSD firewall.lan 4.6.2-RELEASE FreeBSD 4.6.2-RELEASE #0: Sun Oct 6 18:20:34 CEST 2002 root@firewall.lan:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/ALUBOX i386
>Description:
Sometimes when my FreeBSD firewall gets disconnect by my ISP and re-opens the connection (ppp is running with --ddial) the tun0 device has suddenly 2 wan-ips. I've contacted my ISP to make clear that it is impossible to open 2 connections and to get 2 wan-ips on my DSL-line.
The output from ifconfig
tun0: flags=8051<UP,POINTOPOINT,RUNNING,MULTICAST> mtu 1492
inet 212.202.xxx.xxx --> 255.255.255.255 netmask 0xffffffff
inet 212.202.xxx.xxx --> 212.202.xxx.xxx netmask 0xffffff00
Opened by PID 57
>How-To-Repeat:
>Fix:
I've killed the ppp daemon and restarted it with ppp -ddial
