Dmitry, As you know, I'm the author of the code in question. I tested it on my machine at home, which has two different interfaces of two different types, and I did not see the behavior you are reporting. In the hopes that the problem can be replicated on a machine with two identical ethernet cards, I will go to the store this evening and try to find another card to install in my machine to try to replicate your problem.
