Hello list, I have a problem with mgetty, I am using mgetty to provide dial in access via a modem for both terminal and ppp (userland) sessions. This is all working great except for the problem that I am getting loads and loads of entries in wtmp - honeybourne# last | more dialout cuaa1 Mon Nov 19 22:20 still logged in dialout cuaa1 Mon Nov 19 22:20 still logged in dialout cuaa1 Mon Nov 19 22:19 - 22:20 (00:00) dialout cuaa1 Mon Nov 19 22:19 still logged in dialout cuaa1 Mon Nov 19 22:19 - 22:19 (00:00) dialout cuaa1 Mon Nov 19 22:19 still logged in dialout cuaa1 Mon Nov 19 22:18 - 22:19 (00:00) dialout cuaa1 Mon Nov 19 22:18 still logged in dialout cuaa1 Mon Nov 19 22:18 - 22:18 (00:00) dialout cuaa1 Mon Nov 19 22:18 still logged in dialout cuaa1 Mon Nov 19 22:17 - 22:17 (00:00) dialout cuaa1 Mon Nov 19 22:17 still logged in dialout cuaa1 Mon Nov 19 22:17 - 22:17 (00:00) dialout cuaa1 Mon Nov 19 22:16 still logged in dialout cuaa1 Mon Nov 19 22:16 - 22:16 (00:00) dialout cuaa1 Mon Nov 19 22:16 still logged in dialout cuaa1 Mon Nov 19 22:16 - 22:16 (00:00) dialout cuaa1 Mon Nov 19 22:15 still logged in dialout cuaa1 Mon Nov 19 22:15 - 22:15 (00:00) dialout cuaa1 Mon Nov 19 22:15 still logged in dialout cuaa1 Mon Nov 19 22:15 - 22:15 (00:00) honeybourne# date Mon Nov 19 22:21:04 GMT 2001 honeybourne# uname -a FreeBSD honeybourne 4.2-RELEASE FreeBSD 4.2-RELEASE #1: Sun Mar 25 20:46:36 BST 2001 root@honeybourne:/usr/src/sys/compile/HONEYBOURNE i386 honeybourne# Does anyone know why I am getting so many of these entries, all these entries make my wtmp quite large and difficult to see the wood for the trees!
