And easily  reproducible... All I  need is to try  to build a  couple of
ports  in parallel  (a  lot extracting/patching,  I  guess, because  the
kernel can be built with no problems, even with -j3)...

I first  observed this  yesterday, but  it still  happens with  the just
cvsup-ed sources. With or without witness/invariants.

The machines is a dual PII-300MHz, with 320Mb of RAM and no
swap.
