The following reply was made to PR kern/62088; it has been noted by GNATS. From: Jonathan Heaney <jonathan.heaney@btinternet.com> To: freebsd-gnats-submit@FreeBSD.org Cc: Subject: Re: kern/62088: [usb] Logitech Cordless/Optical Mouse not working Date: Thu, 10 Mar 2005 16:19:54 +0000 Hi Tried again today, using RELENG_5 in my standard-supfile. Successfully built/installed world and kernel. The original problem is still there - the mouse still doesn't work. Kernel level is 5.4-PRERELEASE #0 Tried applying the intellimouse.diff patch to the new source, it did make some changes but did not apply cleanly. The patched kernel would not compile. Incidentally, as for the keyboard, commenting out the ums section in usbd.conf does not work. The only way I can have my mouse and keyboard attached with the stock 5.3-Release kernel is to recompile the kernel without usb keyboard (ukbd) support. So it looks like the recently submitted changes to RELENG_5 at least (I cannot speak for 6.x) don't change things here. Do you want me to apply the diff again to the RELENG_5 kernel and post the terminal output and .rej files?
