It *works* with the V/S, but the lower priced series doesn't offer many features that I consider 'critical' for a real UPS setup, so I sent mine back and got a real UPS. (I can't remember which features, but I *think* it had something to do with dead battery shutoff notice, which the V/S didn't support...) Nate
