FreeBSD 2.2.8-RELEASE
>Description:
When I run /stand/sysinstall, and go to the FDISK Partition Editor,
I try to create a 5th partition on unallocated space. I get an
'X' under "Name" instead of a device, even though I have created the
appropriate device: /dev/wd0s5 (with correct major/minor numbers).
I'd like to use this unallocated space but it appears that there is
a limitation of 4 FDISK partitions.
>How-To-Repeat:
Go to the FDISK Partition Editor and try to create five partitions.
>Fix:
I guess a simple change to the partition editor to allow the user
to place a device name in the "Name" column would help.
Or, the system could guess the next logical device; it's obvious
that you use the next number in sequence.
