For what may be the most commonplace use case – environments created through
use of freebsd-update(8) – as far as I can tell:

* no additional free space is gained through use of the option. 

The attached example may be easier to understand than the previous example: 

* there is no warning with ordinary (default) use of bectl destroy
* origins are destroyed.
