You might want to reconsider this; or rather, do the above in some "intelligent" manner which takes advantage of any files already installed. With FreeBSD Update, updating 4.7-RELEASE to the latest RELENG_4_7 touches 84 files totalling 30MB out of a >120MB world, and by using binary patches (specifically, misc/bsdiff) I've got that down to 543876 bytes. (This isn't in the published version of FreeBSD Update yet; expect it in a couple days.) Colin Percival
