As some have already noticed, I have committed a port for the Got (Game of Trees) version control system: devel/got https://gameoftrees.org/ Got does not aim to replace Git and it is very much a work in progress, but it uses the Git repository format and "[i]t will always remain possible to work with both Got and Git on the same repository." Various people, including myself, have wondered whether Got might serve as a successor to svnlite. The biggest hurdle is Got's limited remote support: So far it only allows cloning/fetching via the git+ssh protocol. Anyway, people who want to experiment with Got on FreeBSD can do so now. -- Christian "naddy" Weisgerber naddy@mips.inka.de
