On a Compaq Deskpro 6000 (Pentium 200, 128Mg RAM, 4.5 Gig SCSI HDD (2940 Controller), Netilligent NIC,Matrox Millenium 2 Meg, Matshita (Compaq Branded) CDROM Drive during install of FreeBSD 4.5 from BSDMALL FreeBSD 4.5 CD's, the following error is generated:
The disc in your drive looks more like an Audio CD than a FreeBSD release....
Mind you the CD boots the system up and NEWFS runs but fails right after that. It seems also is you leave the error for a moment or two longer, you can ALT-F2 into the install console the following shows up:
DEBUG: Generating /etc/fstab file
acd0: READ_TOC command timeout - resetting
ata1: resetting devices .. done
acd0: read data overrun 12/0
