Restating an earlier problem with more detail. KDE on the 4.10 install CD uses openldap 2.1.30 I have struck version conflicts installing Samba3, which wants openldap 2.2.14. Netbeans had the same problem when i tried a few days ago. In the ports collection KDE uses 2.2.14. Can I just remove the current KDE and replace it from the ports collection ? or is there likely to be a package somewhere that uses openldap instead of 2.1.30 ? Also, is there somewhere that deals with version conflicts - the google search items I found were a bit advanced for me. Thanks Peter
