https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=273324 Bug ID: 273324 Summary: Stem apropos results at man.freebsd.org Product: Documentation Version: Latest Hardware: Any URL: https://man.freebsd.org/ OS: Any Status: New Keywords: feature Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: Manual Pages Assignee: bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: grahamperrin@gmail.com CC: doc@FreeBSD.org A few weeks ago at <https://man.freebsd.org/cgi/man.cgi?query=glob&apropos=1> I noticed that for some ports, manual pages do not have suitably formed NAME sections. Bug 273248 intends to fix this for kitty.conf(5). >From the apropos results above, I have a shortlist of other ports that might be improved e.g. upstream. I experimented with a different search. <https://man.freebsd.org/cgi/man.cgi?query=sort&apropos=1> reveals more misfits, such as certbot(1). ---- To work around affected ports that will not (or can not) be enhanced, is it possible for man.freebsd.org representations to be somehow stemmed? Stemming after the first two _perceptible_ paragraphs might be enough. Food for thought: <https://man.freebsd.org/cgi/man.cgi?query=samba-dcerpcd&sektion=8&manpath=freebsd-ports> <https://man.freebsd.org/cgi/man.cgi?query=virtualenv&sektion=1&manpath=freebsd-ports> Thanks -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.help
