But the root pool should be reguid'ed on first boot anyway.  The official VM
images configure this automatically (they set zpool_reguid=3Dzroot in
/etc/rc.conf), and in general you'd want to make sure that two VMs using the
same image will have different pool GUIDs.  How did you build the root pool?
