You should try freebsd-questions@.  This list is for
people writing documentation for FreeBSD.

What would the symptoms be? The system may ask for a password
in single-user mode if the console was set as 'insecure' in
/etc/ttys.  If so you'll need to boot from a CD or a floppy
into 'fixit' mode and mount your hard-disk read-write to
continue the repair.
