Hovewer, configure's ignorance of CFLAGS could be considered as a bug, and it would be nice if all bugfixes will be stored in one place. Thus the port maintainer could from time to time notify port developer to look into appropriate patches subdir to find out what is wrong with his software on FreeBSD.
