I have no problem with that but we should also give serious consideration to increasing the default size of / when done automatically[1]. I've run into cases where / is not big enough to hold a new kernel and modules with symbols so I resort to INSTALL_NODEBUG=yes. [1]: Unless I missed it entirely.
