I am not clear on exactly how I can perform what you have requested. Just do: $ kgdb /boot/kernel/kernel (kgdb) list *VOP_ADD_WRITECOUNT_APV+0x78 You don't need to bring the system down. This will have no effect on the running system. It's just reading information from the kernel file and kernel.symbols file. Erichome | help
