Hi,

It's per port because that's how it's logically supposed to be.

Ie, there's a set of VLANs in the switch.

Then you have a native VLAN on a port, which is the untagged VLAN.

Then you allow other VLANs to show up on the port, which are the
tagged VLANs that show up on said port.
