I figured out the true cause of this and submitted a patch in https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=190941 but this patch has some negative side effects and needs to be reworked. So for now it's probably best to add an UPDATING entry similar to the 20140322 entry.home | help
