FYI, I think the patches you are referring to are optional; they're only applied if you build the port with an explicit build option, like make WITH_QMAILQUEUE_PATCH=yes The patches included with the port (i.e. /usr/ports/mail/qmail/files) only affect how qmail is installed, AFAICT. -Chris
