You could always add the user and group yourself (installworld needs it to set file permissions...): in /etc/passwd (broken by me): smmsp:*:25:25::0:0:Sendmail Submission User:\ /var/spool/clientmqueue:/sbin/nologin in /etc/group: smmsp:*:25: Did you modify your kernel at all? Maybe you want to get building world down first... but you might as well tackle the kernel config file now, so you build a kernel optimized for your system. That would involve a cd to /sys/i386/conf, cp GENERIC YOURKERNEL, then vi (or your favorite editor) and commenting/adding as needed. Refer to LINT for more detail on specific options (and handbook).
