It highly depends on your mp3 player. If your mp3 player
implements umass, it is much easier to connect to it
and treat it as a disk.

I have a Creative Nomad Zen Mp3 player which does not
implement umass. There is a library called libnjb ( http://libnjb.sourceforge.net )
which uses ugen on FreeBSD to copy files to the mp3 player.

So it can be done, but it highly depends on the mp3 player you have.
