I have a 4.0-Release box that I'm upgrading to -Stable. I compiled the kernel , everything went fine. I then tried to to a make install but instead I received the following message host # make install chflags noschg /kernel chflags: /kernel: Operation not permitted *** Error code 1 (ignored) mv /kernel /kernel.old mv: rename /kernel to /kernel.old: Operation not permitted *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/src/sys/compile/HOST What am I doing wrong? thanks, jbw To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-stable" in the body of the message
