GNOME is the most troublesome port in the whole port system IMHO. You have to be very shure that you've gor EVERY dependency to the latest version before even trying to install nautilus! I promptly pkg_deleted all gnome* parts, updated all the rest of the dependencies (in the right order) and recompiled to get everything right. > > Here's some output from the gnome upgrade: > > /usr/lib/libc.so.4: WARNING! setkey(3) not present in the system! > /usr/lib/libc.so.4: warning: this program uses gets(), which is unsafe. > /usr/lib/libc.so.4: warning: mktemp() possibly used unsafely; consider > using mkstemp() > /usr/lib/libc.so.4: WARNING! des_setkey(3) not present in the system! > /usr/lib/libc.so.4: WARNING! encrypt(3) not present in the system! > /usr/lib/libc.so.4: warning: tmpnam() possibly used unsafely; consider > using mkstemp() > /usr/lib/libc.so.4: warning: this program uses f_prealloc(), which is > not recommended. > /usr/lib/libc.so.4: WARNING! des_cipher(3) not present in the system! > /usr/lib/libc.so.4: warning: tempnam() possibly used unsafely; consider > using mkstemp() > configure:8221: checking for gnome-config > configure:8257: checking for GNOME - version >= 1.2.8 > configure:8321: checking for additional GNOME modules > configure:8373: checking for gnome-config > configure:8424: checking for gnome-libs >= 1.2.11 > configure:8475: checking for bonobo >= 1.0.9 > (end of "config.log") > *** Error code 1 > > Stop in /usr/ports/x11-fm/nautilus. > *** Error code 1 > > Stop in /usr/ports/x11-fm/nautilus. > *** Error code 1 > > Stop in /usr/ports/x11-fm/nautilus. > *** Error code 1 > > Stop in /usr/ports/x11-fm/nautilus. > *** Error code 1 > > Stop in /usr/ports/x11-fm/nautilus. > *** Error code 1 > > Stop in /usr/ports/x11/gnome. > *** Error code 1 > > Stop in /usr/ports/x11/gnome. > *** Error code 1 > > Stop in /usr/ports/x11/gnome. > > ......................................... > > What can I do about this? > > > Thanks! > > > Eamon Roque. > > > > To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org > with "unsubscribe freebsd-stable" in the body of the message -- __o regards, Gunnar ---_ \<,_ email: flygt@sr.se ---- (_)/ (_) To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-stable" in the body of the message
