This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ------=_NextPart_000_0005_01BFC45E.78231C00 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable I was looking over the PPP tutorials and it seems they are falling short = on instructions. If you look at http://www.freebsd.org/tutorials/ppp/x524.html they hint = about IP Aliasing, Network Address Translation, Address Masquerading, = and Transparent Proxying. But they don't tell you how to do it. As a = newbie to freeBSD I find the ppp section lacking in good well written = instructions, also it does not seem up to date with the current version = of PPP, for example ppp 2.24 does not have the -alias switch but rather = the -nat switch. I would pester the news groups but I'm sure it gets annnoying for = everybody to have to answer the same questions over and over in hopes = that somebody will update the documentation that's available on your web = site. I certainly hope that the on-line documentation gets updated, verified, = and tested for functionality. ------=_NextPart_000_0005_01BFC45E.78231C00 Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META content=3D"text/html; charset=3Diso-8859-1" = http-equiv=3DContent-Type> <META content=3D"MSHTML 5.00.3013.2600" name=3DGENERATOR> <STYLE></STYLE> </HEAD> <BODY bgColor=3D#ffffff> <DIV><FONT size=3D2>I was looking over the PPP tutorials and it seems = they are=20 falling short on instructions.</FONT></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><FONT size=3D2>If you look at <A=20 href=3D"http://www.freebsd.org/tutorials/ppp/x524.html">http://www.freebs= d.org/tutorials/ppp/x524.html</A> they hint=20 about IP Aliasing, Network Address Translation, Address Masquerading, = and=20 Transparent Proxying.
