I had to revert to RELENG_4... I stuck in the "hung" phase, didn't tested with the cable detached. Anyway, what's the sense of using a Cyclom-Y without the external connectors? We use several Cyclades port cards in FreeBSD 4.x. I tried upgrading one of the servers to 5.2.1 this week, but it just hung after recognizing the Cyclades card during boot. If I disconnected the external cable from the pci card the boot went fine, so it seems that it was some scanning of the external port card that generated the problem.
