Putting my Canadian hat on instead of being my frustrated self today: I think the way forward is to replace fortune in base with a shell script to conditionally execute ${LOCALBASE}/bin/fortune and if not found advises the user to ask their sysadmin to install a fortune port/package. I have a revision in to do the removal and plan on creating a series of ports based on bsdgames. However I'm totally willing to let someone else take the lead on this. I think this is acceptable. -- Cheers, Cy Schubert <Cy.Schubert@cschubert.com> FreeBSD UNIX: <cy@FreeBSD.org> Web: http://www.FreeBSD.org The need of the many outweighs the greed of the few.
