Hi,
Have just installed 2.2-960801 and have basically only nice things to
say about it. The system seems stable and after recompiling top and
xperfmon everything seems to be working correctly.
I have two small nits to pick with the installation-
(1) My first attempt to upgrade from a partition which was (accidently)
not mounted gave me an error message that bin, man, proflibs etc were
not found. Upon pressing enter the installation proceeded to work
on my /etc and /dev directories even though it hadn't actually
extracted anything. Maybe there should be some other default
behaviour in this case?
(2) /etc/dumpdates is cleared with the new installation. Why??
Regards & looking forward to the full 2.2 release!
Mark
