AT&T put the manual pages for Seventh research edition of the Unix Time-Sharing System online: ftp://netlib.att.com/pub/netlib/att/cs/v7man/ (only 240K if gzip'd) This should be documented in the handbook and/or WWW server as a reference README: These subdirectories contain Unix Programmer's Manual Seventh Edition, Volume 2A January, 1979 as it was distributed with the Seventh research edition of the Unix Time-Sharing System. The printed version of the manual contained the following notice.
