Typically I will use the adduser command, however I decided to try /stand/sysinstall. I was still running the GENERIC kernel at that time, and no /home had been created. Then it barfed because there was no /home. >How-To-Repeat: /stand/sysinstall c Configure 1 User management Add user >Fix: running /usr/sbin/adduser works correctly.
