Start 'gnome-cd' and it appears to be unable to find or read an installed audio CD (ie; "No disc"). As a side issue, the following message is emitted: ** (gnome-cd:70434): WARNING **: ERROR: No URI handler implemented for "cdda". Clicking on the "preferences button" emits this message: ** (gnome-cd:70452): WARNING **: hal_initialize failed: Failed to connect to socket /var/run/dbus/system_bus_socket: No such file or directory Attempting to specify a particular device (eg; '/dev/cd0', '/dev/acd0') makes no difference.
