About my X stumblings... Instead of my usual minimal install and then post install configuration with vi, I ran around hurriedly configuring stuff from sysinstall and somehow ended up the moused enabled, that's what was ruining my X day. Then I found out the XFree86 fonts are gzipped and AcceleratedX (at least my old version) doesn't like that - I gunzipped and compressed them to make it all happy at last. Anyway, this installation looks swell but for the lack of the ncv driver... Nate, I'm ready to test it :) -Ian On Sat, 18 Apr 1998, Nate Williams wrote: > > Thanks, Nate. > > My old AcceleratedX isn't working either with this installation ('failed > > to open or to initialize mouse/tablet device') -- is there a PAO > > release for 2.2.6 pending that might remedy these problems? > > Don't know, I don't mess with the PAO stuff. > > However, if I ported the ncv driver to 2.2.6, would you be willing to > test it and get back to me quickly? -- Ian Kallen <spidaman@well.com> "Like so many Americans, she was trying to construct a life that made sense from things she found in gift shops." -- Kurt Vonnegut, Jr. To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-mobile" in the body of the message
