.. and I've just backed that work out for now, since something in that
commit has broken hostap mode (more TX hangs, but because I didn't
fully think through SWBA handling.)

It should be (mostly) stable again in sta/hostap mode. I'm going to
try another fix to the TX interrupt issue and I'll get back to people
once it's in the tree.
