--=.S(s)gCls0Tn)n1 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Greetings, my posting concerns APM in FreeBSD. It seems that I can't get it work properly. When I type 'zzz' the screen goes blank for few seconds and returns to the normal state. These messages appear in logs: Nov 16 21:21:49 yabba /kernel: resumed from suspended mode (slept 00:00:03) Nov 16 21:21:49 yabba /kernel: ata0: resetting devices .. done Nov 16 21:21:49 yabba /kernel: ata1: resetting devices .. ata1-slave: ATAPI identify retries exceeded Nov 16 21:21:49 yabba /kernel: done Nov 16 21:21:49 yabba apmd[184]: apmevent 0003 index 1 Nov 16 21:21:49 yabba apmd: resumed at 20021116 21:21:49 Poweroff works fine though... I have enabled apm in kernel (from dmesg): apm0: <APM BIOS> on motherboard apm0: found APM BIOS v1.2, connected at v1.2 Also I've also enabled startup scripts (/etc/rc.conf): apm_enable="YES" apmd_enable="YES" PS. About NVidia FreeBSD drivers... No one answered to my mail in which I told that the refresh rate will be fixed to 60Hz if I use GTF modelines. Any suggestions? -- E-mail: karo@karo.kaista.com GSM: +358 45 6728280 --=.S(s)gCls0Tn)n1 Content-Type: application/pgp-signature -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.1 (FreeBSD) iD8DBQE91p5Evt6lNXuj7xcRAiDqAJ9a2TruXWO/D84XRWdjamBcbF07zwCfXcAo e9KnOG4eB8EacglUiOp0oEo= =RvKm -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=.S(s)gCls0Tn)n1-- To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-stable" in the body of the message
