I am trying to install 4.3 from an iso i've downloaded from an ftp mirror. I have the iso on my windows desktop and I've got Adaptec Easy cd creator. Each time I try to create a bootable cd it asks me to insert bootable floppies into drive a. I then insert a floppy w/ the kern.flp image. After this I get the error message saying " ... Either the boot image could not be written to the temp dir or the floppy could not be read." well I know the floppy disk is good b/c I can boot into the freebsd install pgm using this disk. I don't seem to be able to create a bootable cd for a non-windows machine. When I'm asked to insert a bootable floppy Easy CD creator seems to want floppies containing config.sys and autoexec.bat. any hlp apprec, Manny _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-newbies" in the body of the message
